Characteristics:
White crystals or crystallized powder of the
monoclonal or hexagonal systems, having
no odor except a peculiar sweetness. It
readily solves in water, slightly in ethanol,
does not solve in acetone or ether. Its water
solution is slightly acidic (pH5.5-7.0). Melting
point 232-236;C, decomposition temperature 292;C.

Toxicity:
Median lethal dose LD50 7930mg/kg
(mouse,oral). It has no toxicity.
